This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") explains what you may and may not do with EtsyOptima (the "Service"). It forms part of our Terms of Service. We keep it short and specific so there is no doubt about where the line is.
EtsyOptima is an Etsy SEO, keyword research and shop analytics service. It helps you research demand and competition, and offers AI-assisted optimisation suggestions for listings in your own shop. It does not publish anything to Etsy for you, and it is not a service for producing content in bulk or on behalf of other people.
1. Permitted use
You may use the Service to:
Research keywords, demand, competition and trends for products you sell or intend to sell.
Analyse your own shop and listings and work on improving them.
Generate optimisation suggestions — titles, tags, descriptions, image prompts — as drafts for listings you own, which you then review and edit.
Study the public market around you (what is selling, how categories are priced) to inform your own, original listings.
Use the Service for a shop you personally own, or one you are formally authorised to manage on the owner's behalf.
2. Prohibited use
You may not use the Service to:
Infringe intellectual property. No copyrighted text, images or designs you do not have the right to use. No brand names, logos or trademarks you are not authorised to use — including using a well-known brand as a keyword to attract its traffic.
Copy another seller's content. Do not reproduce a competitor's title, description, photography or shop copy, and do not pass their content through the Service in order to republish a close variant of it. Researching what works in your market is fine; copying someone's work is not.
Create deceptive or misleading listings. No false claims about materials, dimensions, origin, handmade status, stock, delivery times, endorsements, reviews or results.
Spam. No bulk generation of low-quality or near-duplicate listings, keyword stuffing designed to game Etsy search, or automated mass submission.
Produce illegal, adult or hateful content, or anything promoting violence, harassment, self-harm or discrimination.
Breach Etsy's own rules. You remain bound by Etsy's policies, including its prohibited-items and intellectual-property policies. Nothing the Service suggests overrides them.
Abuse the Service itself — circumventing plan limits, sharing accounts, scraping, reselling access, or attempting to break its security.
3. Human review is required
Every AI-assisted output in EtsyOptima is a suggestion, not a finished listing. You must read it, edit it and satisfy yourself that it is accurate, original and compliant before you publish it anywhere. AI can be wrong, can repeat a phrase that belongs to someone else, and cannot know whether a claim about your product is true. That judgement is yours and cannot be delegated to the Service.
We surface this reminder next to the output of every AI-assisted tool, and you accept it when you create an account.
4. Enforcement
If we believe this Policy has been breached we may, depending on how serious it is:
contact you and ask you to put it right;
restrict or disable specific features on your account;
suspend the account while we review it;
terminate the account immediately, without refund, for serious or repeated breaches; and
report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities or platforms.
We may act on reports from rights holders, from Etsy, or from our own monitoring. If you think we acted in error, write to us and we will review the decision.
5. Reporting a problem
If you believe something created with EtsyOptima infringes your rights, or you want to report misuse, email support@etsyoptima.io with the details and any links. We investigate every report and respond, typically within 24 business hours.
6. Changes
We may update this Policy as the Service evolves or as platform rules change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
